A Dendrelaphis with 15 scale rows at midbody, 171 ventrals, 130 subcaudals, total 301; fourth, fifth, and sixth supralabials border orbit, the sixth the longest, extending posteriorly to form about one third of the orbital edge; temporals 1+1, the anterior bordering the seventh supralabial; dorsolateral light stripe not bordered by a dark stripe dorsally at midbody. The vertebraal scales, although enlarged, are distinctly smaller than those in the first dorsal scale row. The supralabials forming the border of the orbit are distinctive.
